Personal Brand Website Design — Cheryl Baptiste

A personal brand and essay site for Cheryl Baptiste, founder of FGT Solutions, writing candidly about work, leadership, and the move from employee to entrepreneur. An editorial home for her Substack essays, press, and speaking, built as the personal counterpart to the firm's site.

Challenge

Cheryl's writing lived on Substack and her advisory work lived at FGT Solutions, with nothing tying the two together. The personal voice that draws readers in had no home of its own, and no place to hold press, media, and speaking alongside the essays.

Solution

Designed an editorial site built around her writing: an essay index split into two lanes, work and journey, a media and press page, and a personal narrative section. Smooth scrolling through Lenis and GSAP-driven reveals give the pages a paced, magazine-like feel without pulling attention off the words.

Results

  • A personal home that reads as editorial rather than corporate
  • Essay index split into two lanes so readers can follow the voice they came for
  • Media, press, and speaking collected in one place
  • GSAP reveals and Lenis smooth scroll, paced so the writing stays the focus
  • Sitemap, robots, and per-page metadata configured for search
